Fulfilment has begun!

This is a big update, because fulfilment has started and there's a lot to tell you. I'll section it off under headers so you can scroll to just the bits that are relevant to you.

The big news is that the zines arrived today, they look amazing, and I've already got over 500 of them in the mail to you.

I couldn't be happier with how they've turned out and I'm really, really pleased I ended up going for the foil stamping. This thing looks and feels amazing and I'm really proud of it.

Now, to the rest of the update. 

Digital Download Codes

Download codes for the PDFs of The Wretched and The Wonderful Discoverie of Witches, as well as the soundtrack, were sent out via itch and DriveThruRPG at the weekend. If you haven't received it, check your junk folder and then let me know if there's nothing there. If you paid for multiple download codes and have only received one, let me know. (The best way to let me know is to message me on Kickstarter or email me at chris @ loottheroom dot uk. I don't always get notified if you leave a comment on one of these updates).

People Just Waiting for Physical Zines of The Wretched

If you backed at a physical level and haven't selected any add-ons, your zine is in the mail. I spent 12 hours stuffing envelopes and walking back and forth to various postboxes today. I expect that people in the UK will receive them in the next few days, and people in mainland Europe might get them before Xmas. No guarantees, though. 

The Wonderful Discoverie of Witches

I expected these zines to arrive today along with The Wretched. They didn't, I don't know why, and I'm trying to find out. As soon as I have a timeline on them I'll let you know. These will be sent with your physical copies of The Wretched, so unfortunately that means your zine hasn't been posted yet. I hope it won't be much longer and I'll keep you updated on this. I'm sorry. I'm as disappointed as you are, honestly.

Logo T-Shirts

They arrived today. I haven't even had a chance to have a look at them to check they're okay yet because I've been so swamped with zine fulfilment. If you're waiting for a zine and a t-shirt, they'll be going in the mail this week as soon as the boxes I ordered to ship them in arrive.

Vinyl

This is the big bad news update and there's no way to sugar coat it. I heard from DMS today that the vinyl isn't going to be ready until February 19th. I'm not sure what's caused this delay - I assume it's a combination of the mix-up with the colour effect on the vinyl (see the last update if you missed that) and Xmas/New Year slowing things down.

What this means for you: The good news is that I'm not going to make you wait until February to get the rest of your goodies. Your zines and any other add-ons will be getting sent out this week (although if you ordered The Wonderful Discoverie of Witches, see above). I put aside 10% of the total money raised in this campaign as a "shit happens" fund, and I'm going to use that to cover the cost of shipping two packages to you. You don't need to do anything - just be patient, and (hopefully) accept my apologies. I wish there was something I could do to make the vinyl happen faster, but there isn't. 

What I will do is send you a download code for the music that's on the vinyl. Keep an eye out for that landing some time this evening, as soon as I figure out how to host it somewhere where only people getting the vinyl can access it.

Errored Cards / Incomplete Surverys

If your card payment hasn't gone through or you haven't finished your survey on BackerKit then at this moment in time, you aren't going to be receiving anything. I've sent multiple reminders through BackerKit and in updates here. Please, please go and fill out your surveys and fix your payment methods so I can get your rewards to you. Especially if you're getting a t-shirt, because now that they've arrived I can't guarantee sizes. I order extra of everything, but once they're gone they're gone. I need you to fix these issues as a matter of urgency.

Shipping addresses locking and a production/fulfilment update

Hi everyone! There's a lot to tell you today, so I did it in video form rather than type an essay (although by the time the thing had finished uploading to YouTube it might have been quicker and easier to type everything after all). 

TL;DR version:

• Discoverie of Witches and Wretched print editions arrive on Monday 14th and fulfilment will begin. T-shirts will also arrive on Monday, which I didn't know when I shot the video!
• The vinyl sounds great and I've signed off on the audio proofs
• Shipping addresses lock in 48 hours (see below)

We will locking shipping addresses soon. That means you have two days to update your shipping address in your BackerKit survey.

If you need to review your shipping address, you can return to your survey by clicking the link in your survey email or requesting your survey link under "Lost your survey?" on our BackerKit project page at https://wretched.backerkit.com.

If you haven’t answered your survey yet, you can still fill it out to get your rewards, but your shipment may be delayed.

We’re currently aiming to ship rewards in December unless you have vinyl or a t-shirt in your order. If you need to change your shipping address, please make the changes in your BackerKit survey in the next two days.

Production Update

Hi everyone! Just a quick update on progress.

BackerKit orders are now locked. If you failed to do it before the deadline you'll still be able to fill out the survey and pick add-ons etc., but be aware that I've now taken item counts and have moved into production. I've ordered extra of everything but I need you to complete your order as soon as possible to make sure you get what you want. This is particularly the case with t-shirts, since I 'll only have limited amounts of each size and won't be reprinting them. Once they're gone they're gone.

DMS came back to me with a few artwork tweaks which I've now signed off on, so production on the vinyl sleeves can start. They've approved the audio and sent it to production, so I should have test presses in the next few weeks.

Tonight I placed the order for t-shirts. The estimated delivery date is the 9th of December. I'm very excited to get these!

Mixam say that the foil printing on the zines will add 5-6 days to the normal production time. The ordering process is a little more complex than normal due to the foil stamping, and I'm still going back and forth with them to make sure everything is perfect, but I'll let you know as soon as the order for the zines is locked and they're in production. I expect that I'll get the zines at round about the same time as the t-shirts. 

Next week I'll be charging cards through BackerKit. Once that money lands I'll be ordering print copies of The Wonderfull DIscoverie of Witches. I'm hoping that this will also line up with the t-shirts and Wretched zines and that I'll be able to start fulfilling those orders at the same time.

However that shakes out, I'm well on track to start sending things out in mid-December.

Orders locking tomorrow!

In a little over 24 hours I'm going to lock orders on BackerKit. If you're one of the 42 people who hasn't filled out the survey etc. yet, you're running out of time! 

Once orders lock I'll have exact numbers for t-shirts and zines and I'll get the orders sent to the manufacturers. This morning I signed off on the artwork proofs for the vinyl, so that process is well underway.

With a little luck I'll be able to start shipping some of the zine-only orders before the end of December, but I'll keep you updated as this process continues.
