The last day to make final updates to your order is 21st November. After this date, I will lock your reward selections and charge cards for add-on item purchases, pledge upgrades, and pre-orders. You can update your shipping address up until I lock addresses for shipping.

If you haven’t answered your survey yet, if you fill out your BackerKit survey or pay for extra shipping after the 21st November order due date, I’ll still receive your information but your shipment may be delayed.

1 Week Until Orders Lock!

Just a quick update to remind you all that I'll be locking orders on BackerKit at the end of next week, so you have 8 days left to complete your survey. We're now at 95% completion, which is great, but I'd love it if we could get to 100% so that I know everybody is going to get their rewards!

Once orders are locked I'll be sending out download codes for the PDF (again) and the new soundtracks, and I'll be able to order the physical zines for Wretched and Discoverie of Witches as well as the t-shirts. Then, once things start arriving at my house, I'll be able to make a start of physical fulfilment! I expect to charge cards through BackerKit around the 28th of November so that I have the funds in plenty of time to cover shipping costs.

We're getting close to the end of this process now, and I want to thank you again for your support through this!

Vinyl Preview!

The money to pay for vinyl production has left my bank account, and I've asked Mixam for an updated quote for the print zines (previously I was going to order 1000 and have some left over, but there's been really good uptake through BackerKit and I'm going to have to order more!)

Along with the invoice, DMS sent me a preview of how the vinyl record is going to look. I've gone for a marble effect with black and aqua marine, and I'm really pleased with the effect.

I should receive the test pressing discs in a couple of weeks and I'll show you them once I do. Once I sign off on them production will begin in earnest, and once I receive them in January I'll get them shipped out. If you want to upgrade your pledge to make sure you bag one of these, you can still do that in BackerKit.

As soon as Mixam confirm the new quote for printing the zines I'll send that order off. Production on them is slated to take about a week and a half (due to the foil cover) and once I receive them in mid-December I'll charge shipping in BackerKit and start fulfilling orders that don't include t-shirts or records.

Production Update, BackerKit Reminder + Music!

Hi everyone,

It's been a while since I updated you, so I wanted to take a minute to let you know where everything stands.

There's been a slight delay with the vinyl production - partly that's due to be getting the files to DMS later than intended, as well as deciding to get test pressings made before I move ahead with the full run of vinyl. I also don't know what, if any, effect the UK moving into a second COVID lockdown this week is going to have, but I'll keep you updated if I learn anything.

What that means is that I'm going to have to push the delivery date back from December to January. I don't like having to do this, but it won't physically be possible for me to ship things out in December because they won't have been manufactured yet!

BackerKit Extension

What this also means is that I've pushed back the date I'm locking orders on BackerKit. You now have until November 21st to make changes to your orders - that's another two weeks (I intended to lock orders today). Most people have already completed BackerKit - we're only waiting on 63 more backers! - so if you're in that group you still have time.

Rejected Music

During the course of writing the soundtrack I came up with ideas and went down paths that didn't end up being used. I thought you might be interested to hear one of the tracks that didn't make it. I went back and forth on whether I wanted to use guitars and real drums, and if so how much of them I wanted to include in the soundtrack, and this piece ultimately didn't work for the project. I like it, though, and I hope you'll enjoy this glimpse into a direction that the soundtrack nearly went in!

BackerKit Surveys + Music Preview

Soon, you’ll receive an email with a special link to your BackerKit survey. It’s important to respond to your survey as quickly as you can since we need this information to fulfill your rewards.

You don’t need to create a BackerKit account to fill out your survey. When you receive the email with the survey, click the survey link to respond. Answer the questions about your reward preferences, provide shipping information, and purchase add-on items if you like. You don’t have access to this survey link yet, but it will be available soon via email!

If you were part of the Smoke Test who received your surveys yesterday, I forgot to ask you for your email address for the digital rewards! You should be able to go back into BackerKit and add this now that the question has been added to the survey, but if you have any trouble please let me know.

After you respond to your survey, you can go back later and change your responses at any time before I close the surveys and get my final counts.
